Saved?

Is A Person Saved?

Answer each with a “yes” or a no”. Write the Scripture reference, if it applies.

_____ 1)                   Saved by being baptized?

_____ 2)                  Saved by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ?

_____ 3)                  Saved by calling on the name of the Lord?

_____ 4)                  Saved by enduring to the end?

_____ 5)                  Saved by entering through the door (which is Jesus)?

_____ 6)                  Saved by faith alone?

_____ 7)                  Saved by hope?

_____ 8)                  Saved by our confession of the mouth?

_____ 9)                  Saved by the blood (or death) of Jesus?

_____ 10)             Saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus?

_____ 11)               Saved by the Lord adding us?

_____ 12)             Saved by the love of the truth?

_____ 13)             Saved by the word of the cross?

If it is possible that many of these things save us, the question must be: at what point does a person enter into a saving relationship with God? Are our sins forgiven before we are baptized when one puts his “sincere trust in Jesus as his Lord and Savior”, apart from baptism? Or, are our sins forgiven at the time of baptism, assuming that faith and repentance are also present? If you believe that a person is saved apart from being immersed, then logic would say that the Lord will add to His number those who are unimmersed.
